BlackBerry 8700 RingTone

Here is how to make your own BlackBerry 8700 Ringtone :

1/ Make your MP3 file, respecting this constraints :

  • File Size : < 260 Ko (to be validated)
  • kps : 80
  • Mono : Yes
  • kHz : 48kHz (with 22kHz, BlackBerry cannot read file)
  • bits : 16

Here are some samples : bangin.mp3,

rtindiewalk.mp3 Get Adobe Flash player
,
rtindiewalkl2.mp3 Get Adobe Flash player

2/ Publish it on a web page, or uses a software like “MiniRingTone“.

3/ Open it with your BlackBerry Internet Browser AND NOT your “Orange” or “Vodaphone” or any other specific Internet Browser.

4/ The files starts to play. In the media player menu, choose the “save” option (first choice, on the top of the list). Then your file is saved in the Melody folder.

5/ You can now choose it as a melody, exactly like the other factory melodies.

  1. For a Nokia E61, this is the operations for the ringtone :
Put the MP3 in the phone (with usb cable, bluetooth, miniSD, direct navigation, or anything else)
    Play.
    Etonnant non ?
